A crucial update is expected today (December 1, 2025) in the high-profile movie piracy case. The main accused, Immadi Ravi—operator of the iBomma website—will have his bail petition heard in Nampally Court. Facing primary charges for running iBomma and Bappam platforms to illegally stream films, Ravi is also booked under cybercrime sections and others. Senior lawyer CV Srinath approached the court for bail, but CCS police's custody request delayed the hearing.
In the interim, police interrogated Ravi in two phases over eight days, extracting key information and evidence related to the case, sources say. However, Ravi's counsel remains confident, insisting bail is certain. With police already filing a counter-affidavit in Nampally Court, suspense lingers: bail or continued custody? If rejected, cops may seek further remand via another petition.
Additionally, Ravi faces three more cases, requiring court appearance tomorrow—potentially leading to his production today. This case could set a precedent in the film industry's anti-piracy fight—eyes on the court's verdict!
