Pawan Kalyan extended Telangana Formation Day greetings to the people of the state and reiterated Jana Sena Party’s long-standing connection with Telangana. Addressing a press conference in Hyderabad, he said the party has lakhs of supporters across Telangana and questioned why Jana Sena’s commitment to the state is repeatedly being doubted. He recalled establishing Jana Sena in Hyderabad and stated that the party has always maintained affection and respect for Telangana and its people.
Reflecting on his political journey, Pawan Kalyan said many leaders who worked with him during the Yuva Rajyam movement in 2007 and 2008 continue to stand by him even today. He noted that his association with Telangana inspired him politically and socially, and emphasized that he never portrayed Telangana negatively in films. Recalling his extensive travels across Hyderabad and various districts, including remote tribal areas in Adilabad, he highlighted his efforts to address public issues such as drinking water shortages.
Clarifying the party’s position on statehood, Pawan Kalyan said Jana Sena was never opposed to the formation of Telangana but disagreed with the manner in which the bifurcation was carried out. He alleged that the statehood bill was passed without adequate discussion in Parliament. Responding strongly to criticism over his visits to Hyderabad, he questioned attempts to intimidate him and asserted that he had faced greater threats in Andhra Pradesh. Reaffirming his commitment to Telangana, he said Jana Sena would continue to fight for public issues and social change in the state.
