Rocking Star Yash’s Toxic is reportedly facing a setback in its home market of Karnataka. Considering Yash’s massive popularity and the film’s high budget, trade circles expected the movie to comfortably cross the Rs.100 crore gross mark in Karnataka. However, the film reportedly opened strongly on its first day before witnessing a considerable decline in collections from the second day. Weak advance bookings are also said to have affected the film’s overall performance.
While Toxic has reportedly disappointed in the Kannada market, its performance in the Hindi belt is said to be comparatively better. The Telugu version also opened strongly on the first day but reportedly saw a drop in shows and collections from the second day. Trade circles claim that the Telugu version has also resulted in losses for some buyers. The film failing to cross the Rs.100 crore gross mark in Yash’s home state has come as a surprise to fans and trade observers, especially given the huge expectations surrounding the movie.
