India have received a positive update ahead of the upcoming T20 series against Afghanistan, with injured players Hardik Pandya, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Washington Sundar reportedly making good progress in their recovery. The national selectors are expected to meet later this week to pick the squad, and the names of Hardik and Nitish could be considered if they are declared fit.
Hardik Pandya has reportedly shifted his rehabilitation base from Mumbai to Bengaluru, while Washington Sundar, who is currently in Chennai, may undergo a fitness test at the Centre of Excellence before the squad selection. The return of these key players would provide a significant boost to Team India ahead of the Afghanistan T20 series, subject to their successful completion of the required fitness assessments.
