Ravi Teja’s Irimudi has continued its strong theatrical performance even after completing its second weekend. The film is still attracting audiences to theatres, with several shows witnessing houseful crowds. The success has surprised trade circles as well as the film’s team, especially considering that Ravi Teja had been waiting for a major hit for some time. The Ayyappa Deeksha backdrop helped the film connect strongly with a specific section of the audience, while the positive word of mouth brought in wider crowds. The movie has reportedly crossed Rs.150 crore in worldwide collections and is continuing its successful run.
Meanwhile, the OTT release of Irimudi has become a topic of discussion on social media. Netflix has reportedly acquired the film’s digital streaming rights, with an agreement to release it four weeks after its theatrical premiere. Based on this arrangement, the movie could potentially begin streaming from September 18. However, it is not yet clear whether the producers and the OTT platform will decide to postpone the digital premiere due to the film’s strong theatrical run. If the current trend continues, the film could remain in theatres even as audiences await its OTT release.
