Mood of the Nation Survey: NDA Set to Return to Power

If general elections were held today, the NDA coalition would once again emerge victorious and form the government, according to the ‘Mood of the Nation’ survey conducted by India Today-CVoter. The survey projects 326 seats for the NDA, with the BJP alone expected to win 261 seats.At the same time, the INDIA bloc is projected to face another defeat, with the alliance likely to secure only 185 seats. Of these, the Congress is expected to win 106 seats.

The survey also found strong support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with 58% of respondents approving of his performance as Prime Minister. When asked who they would prefer as the next Prime Minister, 48.7% backed Modi, while 27.1% supported Rahul Gandhi.

In a surprising development, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay emerged as a notable contender in the Prime Ministerial race, securing the support of 9.2% of respondents and surpassing leaders such as Mamata Banerjee and Arvind Kejriwal.At first glance, the survey appears to indicate a strong electoral position for the BJP and the NDA. However, it also highlights growing anger and frustration among Gen Z over issues such as unemployment and paper leaks. The findings suggest that this resentment and dissatisfaction among young voters could have a significant impact on the government.
