The Telangana State Commission for Women has received several complaints against the YouTube channel “Naa Anveshana.” The complaints allege that the concerned influencer has been posting content that includes derogatory and obscene remarks against women and portrays them in a demeaning, objectifying manner.
It has also been alleged that some of the videos published on the channel contain unlawful material, including content that adversely affects child rights and that such content could attract offences under relevant laws. The Commission has collected video links and account details related to these allegations for further examination.
Additionally, complaints state that the influencer has made highly objectionable, obscene and emotionally offensive remarks against Hindu deities, which are viewed as harmful to public morality and social harmony. As the influencer is currently residing outside India, the Telangana State Commission for Women has referred the matter to the National Commission for Women (NCW), which has the authority to initiate legal action and summon the concerned individual.
Emphasising the need to protect women’s dignity, public morality and social values, the Commission has requested the NCW to treat the matter seriously and take stringent action in accordance with the law, if required.
