The state government has once again imposed a complete ban on the transfer of its employees. Following the expiry of the temporary relaxation period granted in May, Finance Department Principal Secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania issued GO 57 on Monday, confirming that the new orders came into effect from June 1. Earlier, under GO 38, the government had allowed employee transfers with certain conditions from May 1 to May 31. With the deadline now over, all categories of transfers have been halted.
However, the government has provided certain exemptions for administrative convenience. In special cases, posting orders may still be issued without disturbing other employees. Employees who receive promotions can be posted in vacant positions. Similarly, postings are allowed in vacant posts for cases involving post abolitions, reversions, employees returning from native services, deputations limited to foreign service, and those affected by disciplinary actions. Additionally, employees returning after long leave exceeding six months can also be accommodated in available vacancies.
