In line with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s directives to strengthen self-help groups, the Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP) is preparing an action plan to set up Women Shakti Super Bazars, logistics hubs, and rice mills across Telangana.
Initially, one super bazar will be established in nine joint district headquarters including Hyderabad, Warangal, Karimnagar, Adilabad, Nizamabad, Khammam, Nalgonda, and Sangareddy. SERP CEO Divya Devarajan held a review meeting with revenue and civil supplies officials regarding land allocation and implementation. In Khammam, plans are underway to set up a logistics hub, warehouse, and rice mill on 20 acres of land, with support from Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy. Women federations will be entrusted with the management of these facilities.
