Ram Charan’s upcoming collaboration with acclaimed director Sukumar, tentatively referred to as RC17, has reportedly been delayed slightly from its originally planned launch during the Dasara festival. The delay is said to be linked to the duo travelling to the United Kingdom to explore and finalise shooting locations. Producer Mythri Ravi has now shared an update on the project, stating that, if everything goes according to plan, the film will be launched with a traditional pooja ceremony on October 26 or 27. The team is reportedly preparing to begin regular shooting in December. The project has generated considerable interest among fans, given the successful combination of Ram Charan and Sukumar.
Meanwhile, reports suggest that Sukumar is considering developing RC17 as a two-part film. Ram Charan is said to be open to the idea but has reportedly expressed a preference for a short interval between the releases of the two parts. According to the reports, he wants to avoid the prolonged gap that audiences experienced with the Pushpa franchise. Sukumar is known for his meticulous approach to filmmaking, often taking considerable time to refine scenes and the overall narrative. Whether the team can complete both parts within a relatively short period remains to be seen. The film’s official title, full cast and release schedule are yet to be confirmed.
