Namit Malhotra’s ambitious mythological epic Ramayana is generating considerable buzz ahead of its theatrical release. According to reports, the film has completed its censor formalities and received a clean U certificate without any cuts. Its reported runtime is 3 hours and 15 minutes, allowing the makers to present the epic’s major events and characters on a grand cinematic scale. The team reportedly believes that the extended runtime will provide sufficient space to bring the story of the Ramayana to life with the detail and visual spectacle the project demands. However, the reported certification and runtime have yet to be independently confirmed through an official announcement.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film features Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and Sai Pallavi in prominent roles. The music is being composed by A.R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer, adding to the anticipation surrounding the production. Mounted on a large scale, Ramayana is expected to bring the timeless Indian epic to audiences through elaborate visuals and a cinematic retelling. The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on November 5. With its star-studded cast, renowned creative team and ambitious presentation, the project has become one of the most closely watched upcoming mythological films. Audience reactions to its storytelling, performances and visual effects will become clearer after its release.
