Harmanpreet Kaur, the captain of Mumbai Indians, reached a rare and historic milestone in the Women's Premier League (WPL). During the match against Gujarat Giants held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, Harmanpreet became the second player in WPL history and the first Indian cricketer to complete 1,000 runs in the tournament. This achievement further underlines her consistency and leadership at the highest level of women’s T20 cricket.
The first player to cross the 1,000-run mark in WPL history was Harmanpreet’s Mumbai Indians teammate Nat Sciver-Brunt.
