Khelo Telangana Hockey League Final to Be Held at Gachibowli Hockey Stadium

The Khelo Telangana Hockey League, organised jointly by the Telangana Sports Authority and Telangana Hockey Association as part of National Sports Day celebrations, has reached its final stage. The tournament has witnessed enthusiastic participation from young hockey players, with teams competing fiercely throughout the league. In the league matches, AC Guards Young Boys registered a 5–0 win over Royal Hockey Club-BHEL, while Gachibowli Hockey Club defeated TGRJC School, Borabanda 5–0. AC Guards Young Boys also beat Future Kids School 2–1, while Gachibowli Hockey Club secured a 5–0 victory over Rockrovers Club, Amberpet.

In the semifinals, Gachibowli Hockey Club defeated Future Kids School 2–0, while AC Guards Young Boys edged past TGRJC School, Borabanda 1–0 to book their place in the final. TGRJC School, Borabanda secured third place after defeating Future Kids School 3–1 in a penalty shootout. The final between Gachibowli Hockey Club and AC Guards Young Boys will be held at Gachibowli Hockey Stadium on August 29 at 7:30 am. Sports Minister Vakiti Srihari will attend the National Sports Day celebrations, pay floral tributes to the statue of legendary Indian hockey player Major Dhyan Chand and inaugurate the final. The event aims to encourage youth participation in sports, promote hockey at the grassroots level and provide aspiring athletes with a platform to showcase their talent.
