

President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and several national leaders expressed deep grief over the demise of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, who died in a plane crash in Pune district on Wednesday.
President Droupadi Murmu:
Calling his death an irreparable loss, the President said Ajit Pawar would always be remembered for his significant contribution to Maharashtra’s development, particularly in strengthening the cooperative sector.
In a post on X, President Murmu said the tragic death of several people, including Ajit Pawar, in the Baramati plane crash was extremely heartbreaking. She extended her heartfelt condolences to his family, supporters and admirers, and prayed for strength to the families of all those who lost their lives in the accident.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi described Ajit Pawar as “a leader of the people with a strong grassroots connect.” He said Pawar was widely respected for his hard work, administrative understanding and commitment to empowering the poor and underprivileged.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah
Union Home Minister Amit Shah said the loss of the senior NDA colleague had left him deeply distressed, calling Pawar’s passing a personal loss for both the NDA family and himself.
Lok Sabha Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi
Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi termed the tragedy extremely heartbreaking and said he stood with the people of Maharashtra in this moment of grief. He conveyed his condolences to the Pawar family and to all those affected by the devastating accident.
