Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy raised concerns over the fire accident at the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in Nampally, stating that the lab houses crucial evidence related to several cases. He urged the state government to provide clear information on the incident and remove any doubts arising in the public mind.
Meanwhile, Fire Services Director General Vikram Singh inspected the accident site. He said the preliminary assessment indicates that the fire was caused by a short circuit. Computers and hard disks in the laboratory were damaged in the blaze. The Fire DG added that inspections would be conducted in all government offices and that authorities are on high alert to prevent such incidents in the future.
