Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu has directed that the welfare schemes being implemented by the public government, along with the new schemes set to be launched from June 2, should be communicated clearly and comprehensively to the public. As part of the “Prajā Pālana – Prajā Pranalika” (99-day action plan), he conducted a video conference from Praja Bhavan with district collectors on the ongoing initiatives. Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao, Principal Secretary of the Finance Department Sandeep Kumar Sultania and others participated in the meeting.
He instructed the collectors to conduct gram sabhas across the state on a large scale starting April 2, ensuring a uniform approach in all villages. During the gram sabhas, he suggested that the Chief Minister’s message be presented first, followed by a detailed reading of the welfare schemes being implemented by the government. He asked that lists of Rythu Bharosa beneficiaries, 200 units of free electricity and Indiramma housing beneficiaries be announced in the gram sabhas wherever possible. He also emphasized informing the public about the schemes currently in implementation and the launch of a life insurance scheme for all citizens from June 2.
Additionally, he instructed that details of school welfare initiatives be explained, including morning breakfast for students in government schools, provision of milk on three days a week and ragi java on another three days. He also highlighted the need to widely publicize the newly introduced midday meal scheme for intermediate students. He directed that details of funds allocated to gram panchayats be disclosed during the gram sabhas. He stated that the progress of the Praja Palana program will be regularly reviewed by the Chief Secretary and the Planning Department. He further emphasized the importance of communicating to the public that the state government is not only focused on welfare but is also actively working towards infrastructure development and strengthening the service sector.
