The state government has extended financial assistance to Shiva, who is known for rescuing several individuals from accidental drownings at Tank Bund. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy provided an assistance of ₹5 lakh on behalf of the government. In addition, Shiva’s son, Venumadhav, has been issued an appointment letter for a Home Guard position.
Officials noted that Shiva’s services in rescuing people who accidentally fell into the waters near Hussain Sagar (Tank Bund) have been commendable. However, upon learning that he was facing financial difficulties in supporting his family, the Chief Minister responded and had earlier instructed officials to extend necessary assistance. Acting on these directions, officials took the required steps and brought Shiva’s family to the attention of the government.
During the interaction, Shiva requested the establishment of a swimming pool near Tank Bund to support his livelihood. The Chief Minister directed officials to take appropriate action in this regard. He also instructed that a double-bedroom house be allotted to Shiva’s family. Shiva’s family members expressed happiness, stating that receiving the assistance directly from the Chief Minister was a moment of great satisfaction.
