Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy has assured that there is no shortage of gas and petrol in the country. He urged people not to panic and clarified that the government is making full efforts to import fuel from other countries without any disruption. He also clearly stated that there is no question of a lockdown and warned people not to believe false rumors spreading about it.
Kishan Reddy further mentioned that while many countries are increasing taxes on fuel, the central government has reduced excise duty to provide relief to citizens. He also suggested that state governments should consider reducing VAT to further ease the burden on people. Addressing recent concerns, he said a few companies faced temporary issues, but those problems have already been resolved.
He advised the public not to rush or stand in long queues at fuel agencies, as there is no need to worry about supply. The minister emphasized that the situation is under control and fuel availability is stable across the country.
