OnePlus has announced good news for tech enthusiasts, revealing plans to expand its service network in India by 50 percent. The company stated that it will increase its existing 400 service centers to 600. This announcement gains significance amid ongoing rumors about the company shutting down in global markets.
Originally launched as an independent brand, OnePlus has gradually faced a decline in market influence due to increasing competition. In this context, it has been operating as a sub-brand under OPPO, which is owned by BBK Electronics. Over the past few years, OnePlus has been releasing smartphones in collaboration with Oppo. With its declining market share, rumors about the company’s potential closure have been circulating. These speculations intensified further following the recent resignation of its CEO, Robin Liu. However, the company has dismissed these claims, reaffirming its commitment to continuing operations in India.
Instead of building new standalone service centers, OnePlus plans to utilize existing Oppo service centers to enhance accessibility for customers. The expanded services are expected to be available from April, with a focus on Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities. Additionally, the company has officially confirmed the launch of the OnePlus Nord 6 in the Indian market on April 7.
