Nxtra by Airtel to Invest ₹1,417 Crore in Tamil Nadu’s Digital Infrastructure

Nxtra by Airtel is set to invest ₹1,417 crore in Tamil Nadu as part of efforts to expand the state’s growing digital infrastructure and data centre ecosystem. The company plans to increase its existing data centre operations in Chennai and establish a new greenfield facility in Trichy.

The investment is expected to strengthen Tamil Nadu’s position as an important destination for data centres, digital infrastructure and technology-led development. Expanding operations beyond Chennai into Trichy could also support the growth of digital infrastructure in other major cities across the state. The move comes as Tamil Nadu continues to attract investment commitments across technology, manufacturing and emerging industries.
