

Electronics manufacturing services major Amber Enterprises is set to enter the smartphone manufacturing segment. The company has entered into a partnership with Chinese smartphone brand Oppo, according to Executive Chairman and CEO Jasbir Singh. Under the partnership, Amber Enterprises will manufacture smartphones in India for major brands including Oppo, OnePlus and Realme, marking a significant expansion of its electronics manufacturing operations.
Jasbir Singh said the company is targeting the production of around 8 million smartphone units in the first year of operations. The partnership has been established with Oppo Mobile India to support the manufacturing plans. Meanwhile, Vivo is also reportedly preparing to form a joint venture with Dixon Technologies. The developments are expected to further strengthen smartphone manufacturing and local production capacity in India.
