Widespread protests under the banner “No Kings” erupted across the United States opposing the policies of President Donald Trump. Organisers claimed the demonstrations could become one of the largest in the country’s history, with Minnesota emerging as a key focal point. According to them, protests were held at over 3,100 locations across all 50 states, drawing participation from more than nine million people. Protesters raised slogans condemning war profiteering and injustice, asserting that resistance becomes a duty when laws turn unjust.
However, the White House dismissed the protests, stating they were politically motivated and lacked broad public support. Officials described the demonstrations as being driven by left-leaning groups rather than reflecting the sentiment of the wider population. The contrasting narratives highlight the growing political divide in the United States amid ongoing policy debates.
