Pine Labs launches P3P AI payments..

Pine Labs has launched a new payment protocol called P3P in India, enabling AI agents to autonomously complete UPI transactions on behalf of users. Once users provide a one-time authorization, AI systems can make purchases within predefined limits.

The system removes the need for manual authentication for every transaction. Built on existing UPI mandate structures, it supports features like spending controls, identity verification, compliance checks, and transaction audits, ensuring users retain full control while enabling agentic commerce.
