Amazon has introduced a refreshed range of Kindle e-readers for 2026, offering readers several models with different features, storage capacities and price points. According to Mashable’s review after extensive testing, the Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition has emerged as the top pick, edging out the standard Kindle Paperwhite. The latest lineup is designed to suit different reading preferences and budgets, further strengthening Kindle’s position in the e-reader market.
On October 1, Amazon announced a redesign of its Kindle collection. The new range includes the standard Kindle with 16GB storage, an aluminium-bodied Kindle with 32GB, Kindle Paperwhite, Paperwhite Signature Edition, Kindle Colorsoft and Colorsoft Signature Edition. The company has also introduced dedicated Kids models, including Kindle Kids, Kids Paperwhite and Kids Colorsoft. Prices for the new devices range from $149.99 to $319.99. Mashable also highlighted accessories such as the Kindle Click page-turner and Page Turn Cover, which make reading more convenient.
Meanwhile, Kindle prices have increased in 2026. In August, Amazon raised prices for almost all Kindle models, with the Kindle Scribe being the exception. An Amazon spokesperson reportedly attributed the increase to rising memory and storage component costs. Along with choosing the right Kindle, readers can explore features, accessories and services such as Libby to make the most of their e-reading experience. With multiple models and features available, buyers can select a device that best suits their needs.
