Victory Venkatesh and Trivikram’s Aadarsha Kutumbam is receiving a positive response from audiences. Although the film collected over Rs. 16 crore on its opening day, some feel the numbers are slightly below expectations given the buzz surrounding this combination. While the film’s team is hoping for a rise in collections over the weekend, a new controversy has emerged. A copyright issue has reportedly surfaced over a folk song used in the film, creating fresh concerns for the makers and sparking discussions in the film industry.
Manchi Venkat, who is producing the horror-comedy film Parnasala under the SLT Films banner, has raised these allegations. He claimed that the song ‘Jim Jim Taara’, written and sung by folk artist G. Lakshmidevi for their film, was used in Aadarsha Kutumbam without permission. Objecting to the use of approximately 15 seconds of the song, he is reportedly preparing to take legal action. The song has already received a positive response on social media. Meanwhile, Aadarsha Kutumbam features Srinidhi Shetty as the female lead, with music composed by Thaman. It remains to be seen how this copyright controversy unfolds.
