Government Whip Vijayaramana Rao, along with Congress leaders Aadi Srinivas and Addanki Dayakar, accused the previous BRS government of conspiring to hand over 550 acres of highly valuable government land in Miyapur to encroachers. Speaking at Gandhi Bhavan on Saturday, they said the Congress government had secured a historic victory in the Supreme Court in the Miyapur land case. They stated that the court's decision came after the state government strongly argued that the land in Survey Numbers 100 and 101 belonged to the government.
The leaders also claimed that HYDRAA had protected government land worth ₹1.5 lakh crore so far. They said the lakes restored by the agency were now filled with water. They accused former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, his family members and BRS leaders of attempting to encroach upon valuable lands in Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana. They further alleged that Damodhar Rao had been offered luxury cars as bribes in connection with the Miyapur land issue. The leaders criticised BRS members for claiming credit for protecting the Miyapur lands, dismissing those claims as baseless.
