Congress MP Mallu Ravi has alleged that the previous BRS government, led by K. Chandrashekar Rao, has a history of selling valuable government lands. He credited Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy with protecting government lands from falling into the hands of encroachers. Speaking to the media in New Delhi on Saturday, Mallu Ravi said it was amusing that BRS leader Harish Rao was claiming that his party had protected the Miyapur lands. He stated that the Revanth Reddy government had protected government properties worth lakhs of crores of rupees within just two and a half years.
Meanwhile, Telangana BC Welfare Department Advisor V. Hanumantha Rao has requested Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to allocate 80 acres of land in Miyapur for a football stadium and for holding public meetings. He said the proposed space would serve these purposes and added that he would personally meet the Chief Minister soon to discuss the request. The proposal has brought the focus back on the future use of the Miyapur land.
