Tirupati District Makes Elaborate Arrangements for Municipal Elections on November 1

Tirupati District Collector Dr. S. Venkateswar has stated that all arrangements have been completed to conduct the municipal elections peacefully, freely and fairly on November 1. The elections will be held in Tirupati Municipal Corporation and four municipalities across the district. On Saturday, the Collector inspected the election material distribution centre at the SV Arts College premises along with Municipal Commissioner M. Jayakrishna. He reviewed the distribution of ballot boxes, ballot papers and other essential election materials to polling personnel.

Polling is scheduled to take place from 7 AM to 5 PM on November 1. The Collector said that nearly 90% of voter slips had already been distributed. Special facilities will be provided for pregnant women, new mothers, persons with disabilities, senior citizens and women voters. NSS volunteers will also be deployed to assist with queue management and help ensure a smooth voting process.
