Janhvi Kapoor’s Comments on Her Role Spark Backlash Among Telugu Fans

A fresh controversy has emerged around Ram Charan’s upcoming film Peddi following comments made by its female lead, Janhvi Kapoor. During her appearance on Karan Johar’s popular talk show Koffee with Karan, she reportedly expressed dissatisfaction with the way her character was portrayed in a film. Janhvi said she could have communicated her opinions more clearly at the time instead of blindly following the director’s instructions. Her remarks have triggered strong reactions among some Telugu cinema fans, with a section of social media users accusing her of indirectly holding the director responsible for the criticism surrounding her role.

Some viewers have also compared her comments with the roles she previously portrayed in Bollywood films. They are questioning why she did not raise similar concerns about those performances. In response, a few users have shared clips from her earlier films on X, leading to online trolling. However, opinions remain divided, with some supporting Janhvi’s right to speak openly about her experiences as an actor, while others disagree with her remarks. The discussion has once again brought attention to Peddi and its lead actress.
