Congress leader Indira Shoban strongly criticised Konda Sushmitha during a media conference organised by Congress women leaders at Gandhi Bhavan. Warning her to be careful with her words, Shoban advised Sushmitha to follow the party line and maintain political discipline. She questioned what was wrong with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy speaking about sitting MLAs. Shoban said she respects Konda Surekha as an elder sister and extends the same courtesy to Sushmitha as a family member, while also asking her to clarify whether she is still associated with the Congress party.
Shoban said cinematic-style dialogues have no place in politics and questioned whether leaders from other parties were encouraging Sushmitha’s statements. She said anyone with evidence of wrongdoing should approach investigating agencies instead of issuing threats publicly. Shoban also advised Sushmitha to focus on the interests of party workers and avoid creating unnecessary political controversies. She urged her to show greater political maturity while making remarks against Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and his government.
