YS Jagan Mourns the Death of Veteran Actress Sowcar Janaki

YS Jagan expressed deep sorrow over the demise of veteran actress Sowcar Janaki. He extended his heartfelt condolences to her family and remembered her immense contribution to the Telugu film industry and Indian cinema.

Sowcar Janaki had a remarkable career spanning more than seven decades. She acted in over 400 films across Telugu, Tamil and Kannada cinema and created a lasting impression on generations of audiences. She shared the screen with legendary actors including N.T. Rama Rao, Akkineni Nageswara Rao, M.G. Ramachandran and Sivaji Ganesan.

Jagan also recalled how Sowcar Janaki continued to impress audiences in character roles as a mother, grandmother and other memorable characters. Her contribution to cinema was recognised with the Padma Shri by the Government of India, along with Nandi Awards and several other honours. Jagan said her passing was an irreparable loss to the film industry and conveyed his deepest sympathies to her family, admirers and the entire film fraternity.
