Former Telangana minister K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) has alleged that a “rowdy and goon raj” is prevailing in the state under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s leadership. Responding on X to the alleged attack on his PRO Mahesh and PA Mahender Reddy at Saifabad Police Station, KTR questioned why the police, who had asked them to appear for questioning in the morning, allegedly delayed the proceedings until late at night. He alleged that around 15 people entered the police station and attacked the two men who had appeared for questioning, and demanded that the incident be investigated by a sitting judge.
KTR further alleged that the attack was politically motivated despite the High Court directing that no action be taken against his PRO and PA until further orders. He demanded that CCTV footage from inside and outside the police station be preserved and that those responsible for the alleged attack be identified and punished. KTR also sought immediate protection and better medical treatment for Mahesh and Mahender Reddy. The police had issued notices to the two following allegations that they obstructed police duties during clashes that occurred amid BRS protests near the Assembly gate.
