A minor girl in Noida, against whom a case was registered for making objectionable remarks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi during protests against a paper leak, has apologised for her actions. Acknowledging her mistake, the girl expressed regret, while her mother thanked the Prime Minister for showing compassion. She stated that her daughter had been given a “new life” through forgiveness, adding that the gesture came as a meaningful gift on her birthday.
The girl’s mother also urged the central government to impose restrictions on minors using social media and participating in protests. She claimed that the FIR incorrectly mentioned her daughter’s age as 25, while she is only 15. Requesting the withdrawal of the case, the mother said her daughter continues to receive threats online despite apologising. The girl reiterated her apology, admitting she was influenced by others during the protest and made inappropriate remarks.
