West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari has renewed his political challenge to Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief Mamata Banerjee, daring her to contest against him once again. Taking a dig at the TMC leader, Adhikari questioned her reported efforts to seek support from the Congress, the party she left before forming the Trinamool Congress. He also referred to his previous electoral victories against her and claimed that she had been defeated twice, including at her own polling booth and in her ward.
"If you have the courage, contest against me again. I have defeated you twice and will defeat you once more," Adhikari said. His remarks come amid the political tensions following the recent West Bengal Assembly elections. Mamata Banerjee has blamed the Election Commission for her party's defeat and raised questions about the electoral process. Meanwhile, reports of her exploring political coordination with the Congress and other opposition parties have added to the ongoing political developments in the state.
