Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh has stressed the need to provide more opportunities to talented young players in India's ODI setup. Expressing his desire to see Abhishek Sharma feature in the 50-over format, Yuvraj said that promising youngsters should not be overlooked when selectors consider the national squad. He believes that players with the ability to perform at the highest level deserve opportunities across formats.
Yuvraj also highlighted the names of Ishan Kishan, Abhishek Sharma and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, stressing that leaving such talented players out of 50-over cricket would be unfair to their abilities. He mentioned that he had raised this concern previously as well. His remarks underline the importance of identifying and nurturing young talent to strengthen the future of Indian cricket.
