

Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan held a video conference with senior officials from the Panchayat Raj, Rural Development, and Rural Water Supply departments to review post-cyclone rehabilitation across Andhra Pradesh. Speaking from the Mangalagiri camp office, Pawan appreciated the efficient handling of Cyclone Montha but stressed that the coming days are vital for ensuring public health, sanitation, and restoration of basic infrastructure.
He directed officials to immediately begin “Super Chlorination” and “Super Sanitation” drives in all affected areas. Pawan instructed the formation of mobile sanitation teams and ordered that all 21,000 sanitation workers be actively deployed to prevent the spread of diseases and maintain hygiene in villages. Officials briefed that 1,583 villages were hit by the cyclone, with 38 roads severely damaged and another 125 partially affected. The Deputy CM urged departments to speed up road restoration and guarantee uninterrupted drinking water supply, suggesting temporary arrangements wherever required.
