BJP Telangana president Ramchander Rao has demanded the immediate removal of eligible lands from the 22A prohibited properties list, warning that the party would lay siege to the Assembly if the issue is not resolved. Addressing a BJP protest outside the Siddipet RDO office, he alleged that the Bhu Bharati system had become worse than Dharani and called for immediate correction of errors in the 22A list. Rao said Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy had himself acknowledged mistakes in the list and demanded a probe by a sitting High Court judge into the alleged irregularities.
Ramchander Rao also raised questions over Survey No. 403 in Jubilee Hills, alleging that while only two plots were government land, other properties had also been included in the 22A list. He demanded an explanation on how Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's residence was removed from the list. Medak MP Raghunandan Rao sought the public disclosure of the application allegedly submitted for the removal of the property, while alleging that it had been deleted without a proper application. Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Arvind also criticised the state government over its handling of land-related disputes.
