BRS Legislature Party Deputy Leader Harish Rao alleged that Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was resorting to personal criticism against KCR to divert public attention from questions being raised over the government’s failures. In a statement issued on Monday, Harish Rao said the Chief Minister should focus on addressing people’s problems and fulfilling the promises made during the elections instead of repeatedly targeting KCR. He said KCR played a key role in leading the Telangana movement and achieving statehood, and claimed that Telangana witnessed major progress during his decade-long tenure through irrigation development, uninterrupted power supply, Rythu Bandhu, welfare programmes and infrastructure growth.
Harish Rao demanded that the present government explain its achievements and answer questions regarding the implementation of the six guarantees, HYDRAA actions, the Musi project and controversies surrounding land-related issues. He alleged that the government must respond to the criticism and protests emerging over these matters instead of engaging in diversionary politics. Harish Rao said the people of Telangana were aware of which leaders fulfilled their promises and which failed to do so. He demanded that Revanth Reddy withdraw his remarks against KCR and issue an unconditional apology.
