Andhra Pradesh Minister for Industries, Commerce and Food Processing T.G. Bharath has stated that the establishment of a High Court bench in Kurnool is certain. He said discussions are underway with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Minister Nara Lokesh regarding the matter.
The minister informed that proposals have already been submitted to set up the High Court bench in A, B, or C camps in Kurnool. He also announced that a new Collectorate building would be constructed along with the High Court bench.
Speaking as the chief guest at Sankranti celebrations organised by advocates in Kurnool, Bharath assured that the government would work sincerely to address the issues faced by lawyers.
He also warned YSRCP leaders against indulging in what he termed as petty politics involving the holy shrine of Tirumala. The alleged liquor bottle episode aimed at defaming the government has been exposed, he said, adding that technology played a key role in uncovering the truth.
Expressing dissatisfaction over the opposition’s approach, Bharath remarked that despite securing only 11 seats in the Assembly elections, YSRCP leaders have not changed their attitude. He asserted that the government would not tolerate false campaigns and reiterated its commitment to protecting the sanctity of Tirumala.
