YS Jagan Slams Removal of Social Media Accounts

YSR Congress Party chief and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has once again stepped up his attack over alleged irregularities in the state’s Mega DSC-2025 teacher recruitment. He claimed that fresh allegations backed by evidence are emerging from different parts of the state and demanded that the coalition government answer the questions being raised over the recruitment process. Jagan also alleged that restrictions were being imposed on social media posts and accounts belonging to opposition groups, media organisations and activists who were questioning the government.

Jagan described the alleged blocking of accounts and removal of posts as an attack on freedom of expression and termed it “censorship”. He said deleting a post would not erase evidence and blocking an account would not bury the truth. Questioning why the government was hesitant to order a CBI probe if the DSC recruitment was transparent, he demanded the immediate restoration of restricted accounts and content. Jagan also sought the resignation of Education Minister Nara Lokesh, holding him politically responsible for the allegations. The government and Lokesh, however, have previously rejected the allegations and maintained that the Mega DSC recruitment was conducted transparently.
