As the Congress government in Telangana completed 1,000 days in office, TRS president Kalvakuntla Kavitha launched a strong attack on the Revanth Reddy-led government. She alleged that the government had failed to fulfil the promises made during the elections and criticised its performance on issues concerning the poor, unemployed youth and farmers.
Kavitha cited alleged demolitions of poor people's houses under HYDRA, deaths of students in welfare residential institutions, unemployment-related distress, farmer suicides and the rise in crime as examples of what she described as the government's failures. She claimed that the countdown to the Congress government's downfall had already begun and expressed confidence that a TRS government would return to power in Telangana. She also said her party would continue to fight against what it termed anti-people policies.
