Former minister and YSRCP leader Perni Nani has levelled serious allegations over the conduct of the DSC-2025 teacher recruitment process in Andhra Pradesh. He alleged that irregularities took place during the recruitment process under the leadership of Education Minister Nara Lokesh, causing injustice to eligible candidates. Nani particularly raised questions over appointments under the sports quota, TET eligibility and verification of certificates, alleging that some candidates who did not meet the required criteria were given teaching posts.
Nani demanded comprehensive re-verification of certificates submitted by candidates selected under the sports quota and called for an independent investigation into the entire recruitment process. He also expressed concern that records and digital data related to the alleged irregularities could be destroyed and sought a probe by the CBI along with a sitting judge. The state government, however, has rejected the allegations, with its fact-check unit stating that claims of irregularities in DSC-2025 recruitment were misleading.
