Hyderabad to Host India’s Largest AI Data Centre

TCS subsidiary HyperVault has signed an agreement with the Telangana government to develop one of India’s largest and most advanced AI data centre campuses in Hyderabad. The facility will be spread across more than 250 acres and will have a planned capacity of 1 gigawatt. HyperVault and its partners are expected to invest around ₹70,000 crore in the development and operations of the project, which is projected to create nearly 7,000 direct and indirect jobs. The campus will provide large-scale computing infrastructure for leading AI companies, hyperscalers and global enterprises.

Representatives of TCS and HyperVault met Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to discuss the project. The campus will feature high-performance computing systems, liquid-cooling technology, green energy and a water-neutral design. The investment is also expected to create opportunities across power, cooling, networking, construction, engineering and operations. The project is being positioned as a major step towards establishing Hyderabad as a global AI and data centre hub and strengthening Telangana’s technology infrastructure.
