Balkonda MLA and former Telangana minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy has strongly denied the allegations levelled against him by Kavitha. He said both K. Chandrashekar Rao and Kavitha were aware of his efforts to maintain a relationship between them and rejected the claim that he had tried to create differences between them. Prashanth Reddy said he and his father, Vemula Surender Reddy, were among the early members of the TRS and had been associated with the party even before the formation of Telangana in 2014. He asserted that he had remained with KCR during difficult times and questioned whether Kavitha had done the same. He also said he had never held talks with Congress leaders and challenged Kavitha to clarify whether she had similarly not held any discussions with Congress leaders.
Prashanth Reddy further alleged that Kavitha was targeting leaders who had been close to KCR, including those who had been associated with the party since its formative days. He said he was actively fighting against Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and the Congress government both inside and outside the Assembly and at the district level. Calling the allegations against him baseless, he said personal attacks for political or individual gain were inappropriate. He also commented on Kavitha becoming emotional in the Assembly, saying it could be viewed as an attempt to gain political sympathy. Prashanth Reddy said he had respected Kavitha as KCR’s daughter until recently, but claimed that her latest remarks had affected that respect.
