Harish Rao Files Defamation Case Against Mahesh Goud, Addanki Dayakar

BRS MLA T Harish Rao has initiated legal action over remarks alleging that he performed occult rituals. He has filed a defamation case in the MLA/MP court against Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president B Mahesh Kumar Goud and Congress leader Addanki Dayakar. Harish Rao had earlier issued legal notices to both leaders over the remarks and subsequently approached the court after seeking an apology.

As part of the proceedings, Harish Rao is expected to appear before the court and record his statement. He has alleged that the remarks were baseless and damaged his reputation. Mahesh Kumar Goud, meanwhile, had earlier said that he stood by his allegations against Harish Rao. Recent reports noted that no supporting evidence for the occult-ritual allegations had been made public.
