Amit Shah prediction about the Bihar Assembly elections is turning out to be remarkably accurate. Speaking earlier at the NDTV Bihar Power Play Summit, the Union Home Minister had confidently stated that the NDA would secure a strong lead in the state. As the counting progresses, the numbers are aligning exactly with what he anticipated.
Nearly three hours into the counting, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), led by the BJP, is ahead in more than 180 constituencies. By around 11:30 AM, the NDA was leading in 187 seats, while the Mahagathbandhan was ahead in only 49. This clear advantage has brought a wave of enthusiasm within NDA ranks.
Amit Shah had repeatedly mentioned over the past week that the NDA would cross 160 seats and was on track to form the government with a two-thirds majority. The current trends strongly reflect his confidence and early assessment.
Amit Shah also compared the NDA allies in Bihar to the “five Pandavas,” highlighting the unity among the BJP, Janata Dal, Lok Janshakti Party, Hindustani Awam Morcha, and Rashtriya Lok Morcha. Their coordinated effort appears to be contributing significantly to the alliance’s success.
Exit polls had already favored the NDA, with most surveys predicting a clear victory for the coalition under the leadership of Nitish Kumar. The ongoing trends now reinforce those earlier projections.
