He announced that the University of London, UK, and Northeastern University, Boston, USA, are set to establish offshore campuses in Hyderabad. He added that Harvard University and some of its schools are keen to offer select courses and programmes in Telangana, with a focus on providing the state’s youth access to world-class education, skills and opportunities.
The Chief Minister said meetings with Oxford University, Cambridge University, SOAS, Imperial College London, London Business School, London School of Economics and MIT, along with several leading American institutions, have produced positive outcomes. He said the proposed initiatives would include educational and certification programmes, joint research, Centres of Excellence and specialised courses for professionals. These efforts, he added, aim to strengthen Hyderabad’s position as a major global education destination.
