Government Committed to Welfare of Telangana Movement Activists - CM Revanth Reddy

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said his government is fully committed to the welfare of those who fought for the formation of Telangana. He directed officials to complete the identification and welfare process for movement activists without any delay. A delegation of the Telangana Movement Activists Identification Committee, headed by Dr K. Keshava Rao (KK), met the Chief Minister on Saturday. MLC Prof. M. Kodandaram, committee members Mothe Shobhan Reddy and former MLC S. Ramulu Naik also attended the meeting. The committee submitted a comprehensive report containing the summary of consultations held with more than 13,000 activists, JACs, people’s organisations, poets, artists and women activists, along with a draft classification of activists.

After reviewing the report, Revanth Reddy responded positively to the activists’ demands. He said honouring those who sacrificed for Telangana and ensuring a dignified life for their families is a key responsibility of the government. He assured a positive approach towards major demands, including 250 square yards of residential land, Asara-type pensions, health cards, free travel on RTC buses and recognition for employees who actively participated in the movement. The CM also directed officials to develop a dedicated official web portal for transparent identification, accept digital applications and establish a district-wise coordination mechanism.
