YouTube has announced that its services have been fully restored after resolving a widespread technical issue that disrupted streaming for users worldwide. The company stated that it had received multiple complaints regarding streaming problems caused by an issue in the recommendation system, which affected the YouTube homepage, main app, YouTube Kids, and YouTube Music. Some users also reported difficulties logging into their accounts during the outage.
The platform confirmed that the issue has now been fixed and all services are functioning normally. YouTube thanked users for their patience while technical teams worked to restore operations. According to outage-tracking website DownDetector, over 321,958 complaints were recorded globally, while more than 20,000 reports came from India early in the morning, mostly from YouTube app users. The update was shared by Team YouTube through an official post on X.
