Security forces have intensified efforts to trace senior Maoist leader Mistry Bisra, who is believed to be serving as the Central General Secretary of the banned outfit. A large-scale search operation is currently underway across Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, and Maharashtra, with multiple agencies coordinating intelligence and field operations.
The Centre has reportedly stepped up its anti-insurgency campaign by working closely with state police forces in the affected regions. Security agencies consider top Maoist leaders, including Ganapathy and Mistry Bisra, as high-value targets. Officials believe that apprehending key members of the organization's leadership could significantly weaken the Maoist network and its operational capabilities.
